Alja Berk Coaching

Already my first career coaching session with Alja was mind blowing and healing in every level. I quit the job that was making me so unhappy that very day. I never went back. In sessions after she started me on a journey to work towards my purpose and true goals. I got a higher paid job in a nicer environment, where I gained more respect and leadership autonomy. I also acted on pursuing my song-writing passion as a hobby.

Alja's career coaching helped me in my journey to better connect with what I really care about and stand for. I was in a corporate job for some years, and felt very unsatisfied but did not know what else there could be. I come from a belief system that you have to work hard and be satisfied when having a well-paying job. I have followed this without questioning it, but suddenly came to a point where I realized this was not what I believed in. This was when Alja's coaching first supported me in understanding what my values are, and what I want my life and career to be looking like. Alja supported me in gaining trust in myself, exploring my career options and standing up for myself. After 'Meaningful Career Clarity' coaching, I decided to take a sabbatical, and do a systemic coaching course & yoga teacher training. Meanwhile Alja helped me with getting a new job in a company that better matches my personality and beliefs. Now, I am about to start a new job, and teach yoga on the side. The whole process has been very rewarding - I grew so much self-awareness, and self-worth that I cannot even believe it.

From working with Alja I can say that Alja is a very intuitive and helpful coach that goes above and beyond to help her clients, and helps them realise the best versions of themselves. Alja is very skillful at a myriad of different coaching techniques and draws on this rich toolbox to help clients reach a breakthrough. Alja has a unique talent of holding space for her clients, and carefully and intuitively guiding them to find their own answers to the challenges they face at the time. She guides you to go deeper and really address the underlying cause of each problem. From working with Alja, it's really clear that she cares about each one of her clients. She really sees, honours, and empowers you as an individual. She is an incredibly talented coach and anyone lucky enough to work with her can expect great results.

Alja has had a big influence in all aspects of my life. Most noticeably, she has helped me to gain better perspective on what is important to me both on a career and personal level. Following on from this, Alja and I have worked together to re-evaluate how I define success and I am no longer bench-marking myself against others but instead setting goals based on the values that are important to me. This, in turn, has led me to re-evaluate how I currently spend my time/energy and the end result is I now in a happier place both on a work and personal basis. Alja has also helped me improve my self-awareness, which has helped me to become more impactful on both a professional and personal level. And following on from this, Alja has been a fantastic mentor on a relationship front. In conclusion, she has guided me through a number of tricky situations and given me some fantastic tools to better handle certain/people situations in the future.

Coaching with Alja has been trustful, fun, exciting and, I must say, challenging! She reflects and asks about the why in your life, which is sometimes difficult, but at the same time wonderful because I believe that we grow best if we reflect truthfully and are being honest to ourselves. Her thorough methods were very helpful to reveal where my potential areas of growth lie to become a more fully realized self. Many, often unconscious, thought processes and beliefs drive our actions. Some of these thoughts are negative and impact our self-worth in negative ways. Alja helped me uncover some of these patterns and challenged them to help me to see it from a different perspective.
